As you probably know, in order to dive you MUST BE certified. Well you've come to the right place! There are several different certifying agencies. PADI -- the Professional Association of Diving Instructors -- is the world's largest organization for diver training & certification, and the PADI program is what we teach.

Action Scuba conducts training courses monthly at local facilities in Northern VA. See the class schedule for details. When you complete a training course successfully, under the guidance of your Action Scuba instructor, you are ready to do your certification dives. You can complete your certification dives with Action Scuba, either locally or on one of our trips, or you can use our referral process and complete your dives with a PADI instructor almost anywhere in the world. Once you complete your certification dives, you are awarded a PADI certification for the course level completed.

Action Scuba Instructors and Divemasters are led by Jim Ball. Jim started diving in the late 60's and has been an Instructor for more than 25 years. He currently holds certifications for both PADI "Master Instructor" and H.S.A. (Handicapped Scuba) Instructor.
